As you may have read in my “about me” page – I’m married to a Minister. I didn’t grow up in a ministry family, but I did marry Andy with my eyes wide open – meaning, I knew he was called and that the church would be a huge part of our lives. It has been the greatest blessing to serve alongside him in this capacity! I have no doubt that the wife of a Minister is called as well – that God in His sovereignty equips wives to be appropriately prepared for whatever her husband needs, and that goes for a Minister’s wife as well. God equips us to work alongside our husbands, although how this plays out will look different in every family!
It is my great hope that this blog can encourage you in that role as Minister’s Wife – sometimes we may be known as “the pastor’s wife” or “Brother So-and-So’s” wife (depending on the type of church you attend), but we know and should live confident in the knowledge that this is a high calling and a great responsibility. Not always an easy one, or even want that we may have picked for ourselves on some days, but we can definitely know that our lives have the potential to impact many other lives for Christ!
